How Combine Group Positions Works

Applies to:
✔ Dynamic ✔ PDF

✔ Client Portal

This setting allows you to combine any common positions that are held within a selected group.

You will most likely use this if you report at the group level and want to see data broken down by position rather than account. This is especially useful if you trade accounts together, as it displays holdings for the combined accounts. You may also find it useful for evaluating unrealized gain/loss reports by client.

Best Practice

A common practice is to combine group positions for a high level group overview version of a report, and then to create a separate lot-level view.
