How Show Transactions Works
Applies to: | ||
---|---|---|
✔ Dynamic |
✔ Client Portal |
This setting allows you to add a transactions table to the bottom of the Capital Flows report.
When you select this check box, Advisor View will add a table with the following transaction types to the report, regardless of whether the securities are marked as managed/unmanaged:
-
Deposits/Withdrawals
-
Receipt of Securities
-
Transfer of Securities
You might choose to show transactions if you want to provide extra detail to the capital flows charts. This will be especially useful over a shorter date period or if an account doesn't tend to have many transactions. For example, on a very active account, showing all transactions might work for a short date period but for a longer period, it might be prohibitively long.
In Dynamic Reports
-
To hide the table of transactions, clear the Show transactions check box.
-
To see the table of transactions, select the Show transactions check box.
Note
If you want to set the Capital Flows Dashboard tile to Transactions, you must select the Show transactions check box on the report.
Show transactions cleared |

You will see only whatever charts and summaries you added to the Capital Flows report. |
Show transactions selected |

Combine Transfer Lots
You may have one transfer that includes multiple lots of a security. In this case, you can choose to either roll all the lots up into one transfer record, or you can choose to have each lot broken out as individual transactions. This setting is similar to Combine Sell Lots.
Example
If you have multiple tax lots within one transfer, you might choose to see the lots individually.
Combine transfer lots cleared |
---|
In this example, a transfer on 2/24/2017 contained five lots of the same security. With the Combine transfer lots check box cleared, each lot is tabulated individually. |
Combine transfer lots selected |
---|
In this example, a transfer on 2/24/2017 contained five lots of the same security. With the Combine transfer lots check box selected, all five lots are combined into one line item. |
Show Only Flows Where...
This setting lets you filter the transactions table by size of transaction, either dollar amount or percentage of account size. You can use this to help find specific transactions.
The following filters are available:
-
% of account value
-
Dollar amount
You can then choose to narrow the list to transactions that are...
-
Equal to
-
Less than
-
Greater than
-
Between
...whatever number you enter into the text box.
Note
You cannot enter negative values.
Show only flows where Dollar amount is greater than 500,000 |
---|
The only transactions listed are ones where the value exceeded $500,000. |
Available/Selected Columns
You use the Available/Selected columns to choose what columns appear on the table of transactions.
For more information about the Available/Selected columns, see Available/Selected Columns.
In PDF Reports
Functionality is the same in the PDF report templates as in dynamic reports.
