System Settings: Require Additional Authentication When Signing In

This system setting allows a firm to turn on dual factor authentication. Dual factor authentication requires users—advisors or clients—to answer challenge questions or, if the SMS feature has been enabled for your firm, enter a code sent to their mobile phone in addition to logging in with a username and password.

Important

This is a firm-wide setting. If you enable this feature, all advisors will be required to complete dual factor authentication in addition to entering a password.

For more information about dual factor authentication, see Require Challenge Questions or Mobile Phone Codes to Sign In (Dual Factor Authentication).
