The Display accrued interest account setting, when selected, allows you to see the position and account values steadily increase day over day as interest accrues until the interest transaction is paid, at which point the value moves to cash. With the account-level setting disabled, Tamarac reports display only the interest transaction when interest is paid.

Interest is generated by fixed income securities, mortgage-backed securities, and CDs.

You see accrued interest in the following locations within Tamarac:

In Tamarac, you enable accrued interest display at the account level and/or at the security level. The following table details differences between each:

Account level Accrued Interest

Security Level Accrued Interest

Display Accrued Interest Selected

In this example, accrued interest has been enabled at both the account-level and security-level. Therefore, the Holdings report includes accrued interest in the value for applicable securities.

Display Accrued Interest Cleared

In this example, accrued interest has been disabled at the account-level. Therefore, the Holdings report excludes accrued interest in the value for applicable securities.

For more information on the security-level setting, see Maintain Securities in Advisor View.
