Model Setting
The Model setting allows you to change the top-level model assigned to that account. This model represents the overall investment philosophy assigned to that account. If the account is part of a rebalancing group, changing the model assignment here will update the model for the whole rebalancing group, as indicated in the gray text below the assigned model.
If you assign the account to an Allocation model, the View Model link appears. This link shows you more specific information about the model assigned to the account, including alternate security sets, allocations, and any submodels:
You can click the linked Security Level model names to view specific information about the Security Level models within the Allocation model assigned to the account. You can view any set alternate security sets in the Select an Alternate Security Set list on the Security Level Model window.
All securities that are held in an account, but not held in the account's model, will be allocated to Unassigned.
Models created with the Available to assign directly to an account or rebalancing group option checked will appear in the Model drop-down list. To prevent a model from being assigned to an account or rebalancing group, and to reduce the number of models in this list, clear this option in Allocation models and Security Level models that shouldn't be assigned directly to an account or rebalancing group.
For more information on creating and editing the models that appear in this list, see Create, Edit, and Delete Allocation Models and Create, Edit, and Delete Security Level Models.
